Seattle Arrest Questions Cops’ Use of Dash Cams

Two persons who were arrested last November claim that the officers physically abused them and threatened to “make stuff up”. Conveniently, parts of the encounter were not captured by the onboard dashcam. When asked, the Department stated that the officer’s statment was banter and implied that if the officer’s made anything up, they would be in trouble. Please read the full article here.
Where are the safeguards to keep officer’s honest? The dashcam is meant to record any interaction and document what was seen by officers.
